Firmco Group was founded by John H. Firmage, Jr., a visionary entrepreneur, decorated U.S. Air Force officer, and University of Utah Business School graduate. After serving as an executive officer in research and development at MIT, John returned to Utah with the bold idea of equipment leasing, a novel concept in 1959. Guided by the belief that "profits are made through the use, not ownership of assets," he launched what would become The Firmage Group of Companies.

His leadership, foresight, and commitment to community helped grow Firmco into a trusted provider of automotive, financial, medical, and water solutions. Today, that legacy continues through his son, John Firmage III, who leads the company with the same values of service, innovation, and integrity. Firmco remains a proud family-owned business dedicated to helping others grow.
